Some say it is the most romantic garden in the world. The strange, lost, paradisical garden of Ninfa. Once a Medieval village that was deserted and has remained a ruin so well preserved that it gives a perfect idea of how a Medieval Italian village would have been. Since then it has been transformed into the most idyllic garden possible. If you have ever dreamed of a romantic garden, this is probably how you imagined it. Think ‘I Capture the Castle’ by Dodie Smith, or Eden, or any of the most illustrious gardens in history, and that gives you an idea of just how gorgeous Ninfa is. For my large numbered birthday, D took me there. And it was magical!
